Coleman and Mike Haugen embarked on a summer adventure to remember - summiting the highest point in each of the 50 states in record time of 45 days, 19 hours, 2 minutes. During his adventure, Haugen engaged millions of people and encouraged everyone to enjoy the outdoors more.

2007 Everest Expedition
|
Coleman addressed the issue of "nature deficit" by sponsoring an expedition up Mount Everest in the spring of 2007. Denver schoolteacher and veteran mountaineer Mike Haugen, 30, took thousands of schoolchildren along on his successful summit via the Coleman® Everest 5.5 Challenge. Aimed at motivating kids to get outside and recreate more, the challenge included a virtual trip to the summit and a blog from Haugen and his climbing partner.
